Michael Vaughan praises south of France holidays
Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan has spoken of the joy he experiences when taking a holiday in the south of France with his family.
Writing an article for the Daily Telegraph, the man behind the national team's 2005 Ashes triumph said he was determined his children would grow up as keen skiers.
As such, in 2008 – when his son and daughter were old enough – Vaughan and wife Nichola booked a break in the snowy part of the country.
However, the cricket had to sit out of the activity – something he admitted he found as difficult as missing out on a Test match.
Those looking to follow in the footsteps of the Vaughan family could book their own villa in the south of France located in a convenient position for accessing the nearby slopes.
Among the other celebrities to have visited the region in recent months is Dannii Minogoe, who was pictured by the Daily Mail taking an excursion there during the recent series of X Factor.
