Jet2 to open flights to south of France villas in 2012

Brits who have enjoyed their stay in south of France villas so much that they are already thinking about returning next summer will have more opportunities to do so.

This is because leisure airline Jet2 has unveiled a trio of new flight routes for holiday makers to take advantage of next year – Paris, the Italian Lakes Bergamo and the southern France city of Toulouse.

Each of these journeys will depart from Manchester Airport from summer 2012, with Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2, "delighted" with the announcement.

"The addition of Paris and Toulouse greatly enhances our city break offering – we now fly from Manchester to all of the key European cities, from Rome and Budapest to Barcelona and Paris," he explained.

Families who decide to fly out to Toulouse, whether it is this year or next, will have plenty to see in the southern France destination.

Situated between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean, the city packs in a range of stunning sights along the River Garonne and its canals, while a visit to Le Capitole – which packs in eight pink marble columns – should be top of a tourist's checklist.
