Holidays to Chamonix 'popular for celebrities'

People snapping up villas in the south of France in order to pursue some skiing activities could find themselves holidaying with some well-loved celebrities.

Skiing expert Whitney Baker pointed out to Business 2 Community that the popular French resort of Chamonix regularly houses some of the biggest names in Hollywood each winter.

For instance, Ms Baker noted: "David and Victoria Beckham often choose this spot for a family vacation; no doubt that baby Harper will soon join her stylish parents and sporty siblings on their next ski trip."

The expert acknowledged that Chamonix has plenty of charm which keeps holiday makers coming back each year.

As well as a constant stream of snow showers thanks to its favourable position on Mont Blanc, the resort is also home to "great French food and a cozy village atmosphere".

When it comes to snapping up south of France villas near to a ski resort, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office was recently keen to recommend that Brits acquire adequate travel insurance to make sure the trip is enjoyed without a hitch.
