Holidays in Provence 'are ideal all year long'
Families considering a trip to villas in the south of France have been told that Provence represents "one of the best regions in the world".
This is the view of Giuseppe Cosmai, general manager of Le Mas Candille, who acknowledged that the area usually has appealing weather well into the autumn months.
"Also, we have the sea, the mountains, we have a lot of museum activity and things to do in both high and low season," he added.
Lovers of art will likely benefit from a stay in south of France villas near to Provence too, due to the region being home to an array of museums displaying work from Picasso, while the new Mougins Museum of Classical Art is also worth a visit.
Nina Nagel, spokeswoman at the Mougins Tourism Office, has also recently advised a stay in Mougins while in southern France.
She pointed out that the village is just 15 minutes away from the city of Cannes and presents a perfect opportunity to witness the wonder of the French Riviera.
