Holiday in south of France 'synonymous with sun and glamour'
Taking a summer holiday in the south of France allows tourists to get to the heart of one of the most glamorous parts of the world.
Kathryn Tomasetti, writing for the Independent, says a break on the French Riviera is "synonymous" with bright sunshine and glamorous surroundings packed with "humming Ferraris".
People who stay in villas in the south of France could easily find themselves among the rich and famous as they stroll the wide promenades of some of the region's premier resorts.
But the idea that you must be either very rich or very beautiful to spend time in the area is wrong, explains Ms Tomasetti.
There is plenty to satisfy holiday makers on all types of budget, with scores of free activities and museums available in Provence.
