Head to Val d'Isere for the Polo Masters Tour

People who are hoping to visit a ski resort during their stay in south of France villas have been told of an exciting sport event which is heading to Val d'Isere.

The popular destination will be hosting the Polo Masters Tour between January 11th and 14th, which sees some of the biggest names in the sport from Europe and Argentina competing.

Val d'Isere will be host to the competition for the fourth consecutive year, with the foot of the Face de Bellevarde the base for the entire event.

As well as matches taking place every night throughout the tournament from 6pm until 7pm local time, guests can also indulge with a glass of Vin Chaud or Chocolat Chaud while they watch the action, as well as play their part in a range of other festivities.

News of the event comes soon after it was revealed that Val d'Isere had received up to 20 centimetres of snow, following a long period without much indication of wintry weather.

Vicky Norman, of the Ski Club of Great Britain, told the Daily Mail: "Resort villages have been transformed from green to white overnight and the forecast implies more snow is on the way."
