Get into jazz on a south of France villa holiday

South of France villa holidays could be the ideal option for music fans this summer, with a high-profile and popular festival set to return to the Midi-Pyrenees region.

Jazz in Marciac will be celebrating its 33rd edition from July 30th to August 15th this year.

A range of high-profile and successful artists from all over the world will travel to southern France to perform at the festival, including Yaron Herman and Diana Krall, who will get proceedings underway on July 30th.

Jazz fans staying in Biarritz villas will also be able to make the trip to Marciac on July 31st to see the Roy Hargrove Quintet and Marcus Miller, before Randy Weston and Wynton Marsalis take to the stage the following day.

Several other acts have been confirmed for this year's Jazz in Marciac programme, including the Chick Corea Freedom Band, Gilberto Gil and John Zorn.

Kyle Eastwood, son of movie legend Clint Eastwood, and British star Jamie Cullum will both perform on August 12th.

People hoping to see a show during a south of France villa holiday should head to the Marciac town hall to find out more information or book tickets.
