Families preparing for south of France holidays offered advice
Families who are looking forward to a holiday in the south of France over the upcoming half-term break in order to enjoy some skiing practice have been handed a range of tips by experts.
The Ski Club of Great Britain believes it is important to prepare for such a vacation in the right way.
It begins by recommending all children are kitted out with the right equipment, including a helmet and goggles.
Checking how far accommodation – such as a south of France villa – is from the nearest available slopes and planning adequate transport for the journey is another piece of advice.
And the club goes on to suggest taking packed lunches and sweets on days out in the region's mountains to keep youngsters happy.
David McLoughlin, manager at price comparison site Idealo.co.uk, recently promised holiday makers they can enjoy skiing in areas such as the south of France on a relatively strict budget.
