Explore 'hidden vineyards' around south of France villas
Holiday makers opting for a visit to villas in the south of France have been told of a hidden joy in the city of Nice.
The French resort is home to some fairly unknown vineyards that could make for an interesting trip, according to Jessika Bettan, marketing attache at the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Nice.
Each of these can be found within Nice's city limits, just around a 15 to 20 minute drive from the city centre sights, Ms Bettan pointed out.
She added: "There we have different castles with wine production. So you can visit the vineyards and the wine making station and buy wine from Nice."
The wines produced at the vineyards are also of good quality, Ms Bettan went on to say, with many of them served at Michelin Star restaurants.
Some other reasons to book up south of France villas in Nice include a "thriving metropolis" and an array of private beaches for Brits to soak up the sun's rays, a TravelBite.co.uk writer recently acknowledged.
