Experiences not to miss on a Biarritz villa holiday

Travellers who will be staying in Biarritz villas during a south of France holiday this summer have been informed of a number of activities and experiences that should not be missed.

Writing for the Daily Mail, Gareth Huw Davies recommended taking a walk along the town's seafront.

One popular route starts at a lighthouse and takes in a number of sights and landmarks, including a church that was built for visiting nobles in the 19th century, the art deco Casino Barriere and Place Sainte Eugenie.

People planning to try some adventurous activities during a south of France villa holiday can go surfing on Biarritz's beaches or take a tour to nearby towns such as Saint Jean de Luz or San Sebastian, which is just across the border in northern Spain.

Mr Davies also recommended taking a stroll along the town's streets to visit specialist cheese shops, confectionery stores and cake makers.

One particularly popular speciality that visitors can try is the chocolate caramel Kanouga.
