Experience Musique Cordiale on a south of France villa holiday

South of France villa holidays will offer some memorable entertainment for classical music lovers this summer when the Musique Cordiale festival returns to the region.

The event will be held at various locations in the Var department in Provence from August 4th to 14th.

It was recommended by the Telegraph as one of the best classical music festivals for fans of the art form to visit this summer, along with high-profile events such as the Bregenz Festival in Austria.

Writer Michael White described Musique Cordiale as a "modest, slightly mad but hugely sociable spot of Anglo-French entente".

Holiday makers staying in south of France villas can head to quaint towns in the region such as Seillans, Mons and Bagnols.

This year, the programme will feature pieces such as Faure's Requiem and Salve Regina by Poulenc.

Provence villa guests and other visitors can also look forward to a production of Mozart's Cosi fan tutte which, according to Mr White, will be "pure magic" if it is anything like last year's staging of The Marriage of Figaro.
