Enjoy old-style Riviera glamour on a Cote d'Azur holiday

Cote d'Azur holidays are loved by the rich and famous thanks to the region's mix of modern glitz and old-style Riviera glamour.

According to OK! magazine, nowhere offers this more than Nice, with its art deco-style buildings and its palm tree-shaded seafront boulevard.

The publication points out that Nice has been a favourite among British tourists since the 19th century.

It has also become something of a playground for celebrities, with the likes of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, U2's Bono and Sir Elton John spending some downtime in and around the stylish city.

The magazine recommends spending an evening in the old town, where the cobbled streets are lined with cafes and bars.

It also points out that the morning market at the Cours Saleya and the luxury boutiques on the Rue Paradis are great for shopping.

A Cote D'Azur villa in Cannes could be a good choice for those who really want to live the celebrity lifestyle in the South of France.

The city is just 30 minutes from Nice, so holiday makers will be able to spend time exploring both of these fascinating places.
