Discover a 'city of all seasons' on a South of France villa holiday

People on a South of France villa holiday may wish to visit the city of Nice in the Cote d'Azur region, which has been described by one news provider as the "city of all seasons".

The Irish Times reports that the French city has something for everyone, no matter what time of year.

"Older people craving winter sun and a touch of culture, young people who want to raise the roof and dance on the tables in bars in the old town; couples who want a beach holiday but love city life," it states.

Dog lovers can also spend "hours on Promenade des Anglais watching well-behaved French chiens as well groomed as their owners", and shoppers have hundreds of chic boutiques to choose from.

People can spend a lot or a little in Nice, with ten to 15 euros being able to buy a plate of moules frites and a glass of wine in one of the many brasseries.

The flower and antique markets at the entrance to the old town are not to be missed, states the news provider, and there are "more than enough" museums and galleries to spend the afternoon in.

The Cote d'Azur region in South of France boasts medieval villages, picturesque harbours, and a wide range of restaurants specialising in fresh seafood.
