Check out the Nimes Festival on a south of France villa holiday

South of France villa holidays could be the ideal option for music fans hoping to combine a break in the sun with some live entertainment this summer, with the ever-popular Nimes Festival set to return to Languedoc-Roussillon.

This event has come to be recognised as one of the most significant fixtures on the region's entertainment calendar, with a range of high-profile artists performing every year.

Holiday makers staying in Languedoc villas will be able to see the festival get underway on July 4th with a performance by Stevie Wonder, before Pink takes to the stage two days later.

ZZ Top and Joe Bonamassa will entertain the crowds on July 9th, followed by Gossip, Vampire Weekend and Editors on July 15th.

Other big names who have been confirmed for the Nimes Festival this year include Florence and the Machine (July 20th), Jamiroquai (July 21st) and Mark Knopfler (July 22nd).

Music fans planning to see some of the live performances during a south of France villa holiday can order tickets online now.

All shows will take place at the Arenes de Nimes.
