Catch up with Le Tour on a south of France villa holiday

Sports fans will be able to incorporate some thrilling entertainment into a south of France villa holiday when the 2010 Tour de France passes through the region in July.

The famous event will begin on July 3rd in Rotterdam, Holland and include stages in Belgium before the riders arrive in northern France on July 6th.

Competitors will then follow a route south through the heart of the country and into mountainous terrain in the south-east, before heading west towards the Atlantic coast.

People on South of France villa holidays will be able to catch up with the contest as it passes through Revel on July 17th and 18th, before heading to Pamiers, Bagneres-de-Luchon and other destinations over the following days.

Holidaymakers staying in Biarritz villas will be able to visit Pau to see the competitors arrive on July 20th and depart on July 22nd following a rest day.

The final stages of the tour will take the riders to Bordeaux, Pauillac and Longjumeau before the event comes to a grandstand finish on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on July 25th.
