Book south of France villas for Monaco Grand Prix

Sports fans may want to snap up some last-minute villas in the south of France in order to see one of the highlights of the Formula One calendar.

Between the weekend of May 26th and 29th, a host of the most well-known names in F1 will be competing to take the chequered flag at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The event is one of just two street races in the sport, in which competitors pass through elegant locations and past such sites as the Monaco Casino, its famous tunnel and its eye-catching port.

Families who snap up south of France villas may also be able to catch some of the racers in person, seeing as though many of the drivers make their home in Monaco.

However, it will be the big day which many fans will be talking about, with race leader Sebastian Vettel hoping to further increase his 34-point lead.

His closest competitor is Lewis Hamilton, who explained the situation by saying: "At the moment it's very, very similar to when Schumacher was dominating. Now Sebastian is dominating - pole position at all four races this season, and he's nearly won all four."
