Book south of France villa for carnival fun next month
Tourists who would like to be a part of a flamboyant carnival may find booking a villa in the south of France is a wise move.
Nominating its top ten reasons to travel in February, the Daily Telegraph names a trip to the region as one of the best options due to the beginning of the Nice Carnival.
Describing the event as "France's greatest carnival celebrations", the newspaper notes the fun gets underway on February 18th.
"The highlights are the carnival parades, in particular the Parade of Lights and the famous flower parades, all accompanied by street players and musicians," the publication states.
And it goes on to suggest even the weather makes a stay at a villa in the south of France worthwhile, as the first signs of spring start to emerge at this time.
David McLoughlin, manager of comparison site Idealo.co.uk, recently said holidays in the area are highly popular at this time of year as people like to visit ski resorts.
