Book a South of France villa and visit the Place aux Herbes

Those heading to the Cote d'Azur on a South of France villa holiday can take a day trip to St Tropez to visit the Place aux Herbes.

This lovely square acts as the centre of activity in the town and is home to numerous stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers.

Holiday makers can breathe in the beautiful aromas and check out the produce on offer, perhaps buying some tasty treats to prepare a delicious meal.

The Place aux Herbes is a great place to see the real St Tropez, with locals going about their everyday business.

St Tropez's tourist office is located here, so it will be easy to find for those exploring the town on foot.

Of course there are plenty of other places where holiday makers can shop in St Tropez, from designer boutiques to local stores selling unique gifts.

And there are many more squares to hang out in, including the Place des Lices, where an open-air market is held between the trunks of 60-foot-high trees.

Those renting South of France villas in Frejus will be just a short drive away from St Tropez, so heading there for a day trip is a must.

This small historical town has a sandy sheltered beach which stretched to the adjoining town of St Raphael.
