Book a South of France holiday to see the movie stars

Families planning ahead to their next South of France villa holiday may wish to think about booking a break in May.

The 2010 Cannes Film Festival will be taking place from May 12th to 23rd, bringing plenty of glitz and glamour to the resort.

Cannes is a great place to spot celebrities at any time of the year, but in the spring they will be out in full force to promote their latest movies.

Many of the actors who have starred in some of the best films of the last year will be treading the red carpet, so holiday makers should keep their eyes peeled.

Of course away from the Palais des Festivals on the Georges Pompidou Esplanade where the festival takes place, there is much more to do in this seaside town.

The glitz and glamour theme continues with numerous designer boutiques and a large harbour where the rich and famous arrive in their luxury yachts.

Families will also find a sandy beach, some beautiful gardens to explore and plenty of historical sights, including the Notre Dame du Bon Voyage church.

Private Cote d'Azur villas in Cannes could be perfect for those hoping to see the best of what the town has to offer and stay long enough to spot a few celebrities.
