Book a South of France holiday and sample great shopping

Cannes has long attracted the rich and famous on South of France holidays, and its designer boutiques may be one reason why it continues to do so.

In addition to sandy beaches, a glamorous yacht marina and several historical sites, Cannes also boasts some great shopping opportunities.

According to travelbite.co.uk, the town is rich with luxury stores to tempt shoppers.

"The French Riviera town would not be able to attract glitterati if it did not have a wealth of shops for the discerning customer," the website points out.

It said the Rue d'Antibes is perhaps the most exciting place to indulge in some retail therapy, as it is filled with boutiques offering gifts and clothes.

Those looking for expensive jewellery will find it on the Boulevard de la Croisette.

But you don't have to be rich to shop in Cannes, as there are also plenty of bargains on offer at the Marche Brocante, travelbite.co.uk states.

This particular market is held on Saturdays, while the Place Gambetta market is open daily for those shopping during the week.
