Book a Cote d'Azur holiday and go sightseeing in Cannes

Those who love to go sightseeing during their holidays will find plenty to see in Cannes in the South of France.

According to travelbite.co.uk, there are several sites of local interest in the town to keep tourists busy, whatever time of year they travel.

The website named two churches - the 17th century Notre Dame d'Esperance and the St Michel Archange – as two to look out for.

It said the Musee de la Caste is also a popular museum that happens to be one of the biggest draws for visitors to Cannes.

"Sea enthusiasts could visit the Maritime Museum, while galleries such as Musee Chapelle Bellini will appeal to art lovers," it added.

Villa Rothschild's municipal library and the Tour du Masque were also highlighted as potential places of interest for those on sightseeing tours.

South of France holiday makers can rent their own private villas in Cannes, giving them plenty of time to discover what the town has to offer.

Famous for its annual film festival, Cannes has a beautiful sandy beach and a marina lined with luxury yachts, some of which may belong to the rich and famous.
