Book Provence villas to explore a medieval world

People planning to book Provence villas for a south of France holiday this summer will be able to take a journey back in time at a special event taking place in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

The scenic town on the Cote d'Azur will play host to its annual Medieval Festival on the weekend of August 7th and 8th.

All sorts of fascinating spectacles and events are arranged for this two-day tour through the medieval era, including jousting contests and even crossbow tournaments.

Holiday makers staying in Provence villas will also be able to browse through an old-fashioned market selling all sorts of curios, gifts and souvenirs.

The festival will come to an end with a hearty feast featuring roasted pork, mead and various other old-fashioned foods and drinks.

Cagnes-sur-Mer is located on France's picturesque south coast between the glamorous cities of Nice and Cannes.

Travellers planning to rent Provence villas this year can visit the destination to explore its historic village, soak up the atmosphere in the fishing port and see an exhibition at the Renoir Museum.
