Book Provence villas to discover Miquel Barcelo

South of France villa holidays will offer the chance for art enthusiasts to see an extensive selection of work by Miquel Barcelo this summer.

Originally from Mallorca, Barcelo spent time living in Paris and Mali, creating an eclectic body of work that has been displayed at major galleries all over the world.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Collection Lambert in Avignon has arranged a summer exhibition that will comprise displays at three different venues in the Provence city.

The Collection Lambert itself will host an ensemble of works by Barcelo from the past decade, while the Palais des Papes will present pieces including sculptures, ceramics, plasters and terracotta installations.

At the Petit Palais museum, visitors will be able to see a selection of watercolours painted by the artist to illustrate scenes from Dante's Divine Comedy.

Holiday makers staying in Provence villas will be able to see all of the exhibitions in Avignon between June 27th and November 7th.
