Book Biarritz villas to discover Asian art

Holiday makers planning to book Biarritz villas this year will be able to expand their cultural horizons by paying a visit to one of the city's leading cultural institutes.

The Asiatica Museum of Asian Art offers an insight into Oriental cultures, particularly those of India, China, Tibet and Nepal.

It is open every day from 14:00 local time throughout the year and from 10:30 in July and August and during school holidays.

People staying in Biarritz villas can explore the China section of the museum to see a selection of treasures from the country's history, including art works crafted from bronze, porcelain, jade and other materials.

The attraction is also home to a collection of Tibetan exhibits that is thought to be one of the best in the world, while Indian culture is explored in a long gallery featuring pieces of religious art, jewellery, textiles and more.

Biarritz is home to many other cultural centres and attractions that people can visit during their south of France holidays, including museums dedicated to the sea, local history and chocolate.
