Traditional holiday durations coming to an end?
Many holiday makers are looking to steer away from the traditional length of getaways when jetting off this year, such as to Menorca villas.
According to research by easyJet, seven out of ten people are opting to search for breaks which last more than the standard eight days.
However, the same number of Brits are also not inclined to want to travel for up to 14 days, instead opting for a middle ground between the two.
The reasons why people are not opting for long-stay holidays included concerns over missing too much work and issues over budgeting a getaway.
Mandy Round, general manager at easyJet, acknowledged: "Holidaymakers are signalling the end of the traditional one and two week holidays and no longer want to be restricted to the standard deals offered by tour operators."
People who book up to visit villas in Menorca will have plenty to keep them occupied during their stay, with sights around the Balearic Island hot spot including Mahon's Fortress La Mola and the Roman town of Ecomuseu de Cap de Cavalleria.
