Take trips to Menorca villas 'for a perfect beach holiday'

Brits hoping to jet off on a relaxing holiday over the next 12 months have been urged to consider setting their sights on villas in Mallorca and Menorca.

First Choice and Thomson both believe that the Balearic Islands present ideal getaway opportunities for all the family throughout 2012.

The pair of well-known travel operators pointed out that the bunch of destinations consisting of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza "have always been a favourite holiday hotspot amongst Brits".

However, the companies noted that the popularity for the Mediterranean resorts is set to grow even further due to market volume growing.

"Menorca is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a beach holiday, as the island has more beaches than any other island in the Balearics, so there's a huge emphasis on relaxation," a statement by Thomson and First Choice went on to disclose.

The comments come soon after the C.I. Travel Group announced that its FlyDirect programme for 2012 will include a host of direct flights from Jersey and Guernsey to each of the Balearic Islands.
