Rent a Menorca villa for a quiet holiday
Those looking for somewhere quiet and friendly to spend their next overseas holiday should head to Menorca.
Unlike its livelier neighbours Mallorca and Ibiza, the island offers a "tranquil and laid-back approach to life", according to ChronicleLive.
The website said Menorca's beaches are one of its main attractions, with holiday makers returning year after year to relax on the golden sands.
It also claimed that the island appeals to everyone, whatever their age.
"Families love the carefree atmosphere and clean sandy beaches, couples love the romance of the cosy coves and quaint scenery and the older generation appreciate the easy lifestyle," it stated.
Menorca is also a great island to explore, with access to most of the major towns and resorts easy for those who rent cars.
Tourists can visit the capital Mahon at one end with its impressive natural harbour and its famous gin distillery, or Ciutadella at the other, the former capital, which is a favourite among those who love history and culture.
Families renting Menorca villas in Son Bou will be in a great location, in the centre of the island's south coast, to visit both of these towns.
They will also have access to Menorca's longest beach, which stretches for almost two kilometres.
