Rent a Menorca villa and explore the island's hidden coves
Beach lovers will have plenty to shout about on a Menorca holiday, as the island has numerous hidden coves where tourists can find powder white sand and turquoise seas.
In an article for the Canwest News Service, one travel journalist said there are around 150 beaches in Menorca, which are scattered among sheltered limestone cliffs.
There are strict government guidelines which protect these coastal areas from litter and prevent them from becoming overcrowded, which is great news for those seeking peaceful relaxation and beautiful scenery.
And as the island has a warm Mediterranean climate, visitors can expect to enjoy temperature of 30 degrees during the summer months, although gentle cooling breezes ensure that the weather isn't too stifling.
The writer said many of Menorca's beaches can be reached via small paved lanes which stretch from the main roads. This means that walking, cycling and horse riding is just as popular as sunbathing on the island.
Those renting Menorca villas in Son Bou will be able to relax in the longest beach in Menorca, which stretches for almost two kilometres.
