Reasons to book up Menorca villas
Holiday makers have been encouraged to take a trip to Menorca villas this summer, with plenty of attractions to entertain all the family.
The Sun's travel expert, Marianna Longmire, noted that her trip to the Balearics island wiped away any preconception she had about the region.
She explained: "Smaller and quieter than more popular neighbour Majorca, the island has been declared a biosphere reserve - promoting forms of tourism that work with the environment."
When it comes to what to do once booked in villas in Menorca, Ms Longmire acknowledged that the destination offers a mix of sunbathing, cultural experiences and sightseeing.
To fulfil the latter of these objectives, holiday makers may want to take a trip to Ciutadella, a city which boasts such "historical treasures" as grand mansions and the 17th Century defence tower of the Castell de Sant Nicolau.
Recently, Lazaro Criado, tourism minister for Menorca, pointed that, in his opinion, the island is a "fantastic destination for everyone".
