More chances for Brits to visit Menorca villas in 2012

Families on the Channel Islands will have more opportunities to take flights to Menorca villas in the new year.

The C.I. Travel Group has revealed that its FlyDirect programme for the next 12 months will include plenty of chances for people in this part of the UK to enjoy trips to Mediterranean hotspots.

People flying from travel hubs in Jersey and Guernsey between April and October 2012 can choose from 19 direct flights to each of the Balearic Islands, as well as the popular Spanish destinations of Ibiza and Costa del Sol.

Robert Mackenzie, the managing director of C.I. Travel Group, pointed out: "The opportunity to fly from Jersey & Guernsey direct to the Mediterranean sunshine on convenient daytime flights and avoid the congestion, extra cost and time involved when travelling via London, is proving very attractive to local people."

Deemed the Jewel of the Balearics, Menorca is home to such sights as the picturesque natural harbour of Mahon and the golden coastlines of Sant Luis' Cala Alcaufar, Cala d'es Rafalet and Punta Prima beaches.
