Menorca 'one of Europe's top ten islands'
Published in the Independent, the list features the best island holiday destinations for sun, sea, culture and nightlife.
The newspaper states that Menorca - the second largest of the Balearic islands - attracts tourists who want to relax and laze on its numerous sandy beaches.
But it is also popular among those who crave a little culture and who have a keen interest in archaeology.
"Its cave systems, excavation spots and ancient ruins make it a hotpot for excursions," the article points out.
This means those renting villas in Menorca are unlikely to be stuck for things to do during their break.
A villa in Son Bou could be the best choice for those who want to explore the island, thanks to its fairly central location along the coast.
It is also home to the longest beach in Menorca, which is great for those who want to spend a few days relaxing by the sea.
