International Island Games 'may come to Menorca'

The executive committee of the association recently met on the Balearic island for the first time and in the future Menorca holiday makers may be able to witness a whole host of international sports stars competing there.

Chairman Jorgen Pettersson said Menorca has "brought cultural diversity to the IIGA and many good sportsmen and women to the NatWest Island Games".

The competition gets bigger every year and football is the most popular sport with over 500 competitors.

Mahon hosted the meeting and it could also host a magical Menorca holiday.

A villa in Mahon offers the best of both worlds as holiday makers can relax during the day and see the capital city come alive at night on the popular waterfront.
