People have been encouraged to spend more time out with their families, which could include taking a holiday to Menorca villas.
The message comes from Nicky Cox MBE, editor of award winning children's newspaper First News, following a new study by Thomson Holidays.
According to the firm, one in five parents have admitted to being unable to use enough of their time off work to enjoy a getaway.
Furthermore, almost half of the respondents (49 per cent) say that they have failed to take advantage of all of their holiday allowance.
Around ten per cent of people have even admitted that they already know they will not use all of their allocated holiday allowance for this year.
However, Ms Cox urged: "Forget 'me time' and 'you time', what we need now is 'our time', together as a family."
Parents and children will be able to relax if they take a trip to villas in Menorca during their time away from work.
The Spanish island has a wide array of beaches to lie back and get a golden tan on, as well as fascinating museums and fishing villages to explore.
