Follow the Lighthouse Tour on a Menorca villa holiday
Holiday makers who like the idea of taking on a physical challenge in a luxurious destination might be interested in arranging a Menorca villa break next month.
The seventh Menorca Lighthouse Route cycling event is set to take place on May 8th.
Organised by the island's Cycle Tourism Association, the tour is an invitation for foreign visitors as well as local people to see some of the island's most spectacular sights on a 210km journey.
The Menorca tourist board reassured would-be participants that they will enjoy a "sense of comradeship and an enjoyment of the landscape" as all riders will keep to a controlled speed of around 25 kilometres per hour.
Visitors can take part in a range of activities on the island that are not so physically taxing, such as a visit to one of the many sand, rock or pebble beaches located along the coast.
Menorca villa guests can also pay a visit to Ciutadella to see the Town Hall, a grand building that is based on an ancient citadel, remains of which can still be seen today.
