Enjoy a "wonderfully pretty island" on a Menorca holiday
A Menorca holiday gives visitors the chance to explore a "wonderfully pretty and refined" island that is home to a number of attractions.
This is the view of Katie Glass, writing for the Daily Mail, who recently enjoyed a week-long stay on the outskirts of Punta Prima.
She noted the island is quieter than its bigger counterpart Majorca, meaning people can enjoy some space to themselves on the beaches that line the coast.
One place Ms Glass recommended visiting is Mao, home to the world's second deepest natural harbour and a place where tourists can barter over the price of leather goods with local sellers.
She also suggested making a trip to one of the island's vineyards, where wine is on sale at warehouse prices, making it a "delicious bargain".
Carmen Hernandez Gomez of the Spanish Tourism Office recently noted English is spoken in many of the holiday destinations across the country and is surrounding islands, which makes it a popular choice for Britons.
