Brits to be encouraged to take a Menorca holiday
People planning on taking a Menorca villa holiday may be further encouraged when a marketing assault is launched in the UK later this month.
Entitled Menorca – Warm At Heart, the campaign will see a host of island hoteliers and tourism workers visiting a series of cities across the country.
These include London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow, just to name a few, in which the aim will be to illustrate the diversity that the island offers to those wanting a family villa holiday this summer.
It is the first time that the Menorca Tourist Board has set out such a scheme, with the island's minister for tourism, Lazaro Criado, hoping that it shows more of the destination than just the stunning beaches.
He explained: "The holiday destination is already well known and popular with the family market but we also think the island offers a magical romantic setting for couples."
Last week, Katie Glass praised the opportunities on offer by visiting Menorca, telling the Daily Mail that it is "wonderfully pretty and refined".
