Brits continue to seek holidays in 2012

Despite the woeful economic climate, many families in the UK are still preparing to enjoy at least one holiday next year, perhaps to villas in Menorca.

Research carried out by Cheapflights.co.uk has found that of 15,124 participants, 83 per cent are maintaining their travel budget by making cuts in their expenditure elsewhere.

The study also revealed that more than half (57 per cent) of respondents have already enjoyed more than one holiday this year.

Looking ahead to their next getaway, 66 per cent of individuals would prefer to enjoy some winter sun, plenty of which is provided around Menorca villas.

Hugo Burge, the chief executive of Cheapflights Media, commented: "Our results are a clear-cut demonstration that Brits are a passionate nation of holiday makers."

For those hoping to snap up holidays in Menorca, BMI Baby has revealed that it is to introduce even more flights to the Spanish island hotspot from the UK throughout next summer.
