Book a Menorca holiday to visit 'jewel' of a beach
Britons considering a trip to the Balearics might want to book a Menorca holiday to see a beach described as one of the "jewels" of the island.
According to the Balearic Institute of Tourism, Cala Pregonda is a highlight of holidays to Menorca.
It describes the beach as "a beautiful bay with crisp light sand [and] crystal blue waters, all backed by pine and tamarisk woods".
Other reasons to visit Menorca include its fresh seafood, which is a particular favourite of King Juan Carlos of Spain, who reportedly heads to the island in disguise to sample its cuisine.
Menorca's culinary delicacies include grilled fresh sea bream, calamari, sardines, as well as locally reared pork served with apricots or prunes.
Other attractions on the island include the Ciutadella Cathedral and the ancient Naveta des Tudons burial chambers.
For family holidays to Menorca, why not book a villa? This type of accommodation can be found in areas such as Torre Soli, Punta Prima, Arenal d'en Castell and Binibeca.
