'Skies the limit' for fun on a Menorca holiday
According to the Royal Aero Club, the beautiful Balearic island of Menorca has been selected as the venue for the first ever joint Aero Club Air Racing weekend.
Taking place on May 23rd and May 24th, aircraft from the UK will be make their way to compete in the Spanish Royal Aero Club International Menorca Air Race Trophy on the Saturday and the British Royal Aero Club International Menorca Air Race Trophy on the Sunday.
"The promise of warm clear skies with a large competitive field on this jewel of the Mediterranean makes it a unique event," the Royal Aero Club says.
Menorca's club can be found on the road between Mahon and St Luis.
Villa holiday makers can stay in Mahon itself and visit the island's capital and one of the largest natural harbours in the world.
