'Gorge yourself' on a Menorca holiday

The Cova des Carritx contains ancient remains that have supplied information about the first people to reside on the Spanish island.

People who think Menorca could be an ideal holiday spot might be encouraged by the two-hour flight time from the UK and one-hour time difference, meaning jet lag is minimal and transport could be found at budget prices.

Menorca is the second-largest island in the Balearics and is known to many as a quieter and more serene villa holiday destination. Some of the attractions include beautiful beaches and quaint fishing villages.
