'Frolic with the famous' in Fornells on a Menorca villa holiday

Should they do so, they will be following in the footsteps of the King Juan Carlos of Spain, who is said to frequent the beautiful harbour every year to sample the lobster stew known as Caldereta de Langosta.

Although anyone seeking a cheap villa holiday may have to opt against the delicacy as it does not come cheap.

As is the case in Menorca, the best things are free and Fornells is truly stunning.

In the summer, guests can walk the harbour looking at the array of quaint fishing boats and millionaire yachts floating on the crystal clear sea.

The fishing village is a very short drive from the resort of Arenal d'en Castell - which boasts an attractive horseshoe bay lined with pine trees and numerous villas with private pools.
