| St Maria, Mellieha | 7 |
45 mins
|
| Mellieha is a flourishing and attractive modern resort, noted for its large, private villas. The town has retained its historic centre with narrow streets and stepped alleys, and an underground chapel with frescoes said to have been painted by St Luke. The beach is the largest in Malta and offers good swimming with gently shelving sand. The north east breezes make it popular for windsurfing. Many of our villas are located in the estate of Santa Maria which enjoys great views over the bay as well as a bar and shop, with a wider choice for shopping, eating and entertainment in the resort. | ||
| Marsascala | 3 |
20 mins
|
| A popular family resort, Marsascala is a traditional fishing village with a picturesque coastline of rocky coves and a small sandy beach at St Thomas Bay. You’ll find an array of watersports on offer, including diving, windsurfing, wakeboarding and waterskiing, and a selection of waterfront eateries and beach bars. The small harbour and port, lined with a fine choice of restaurants serving local and international cuisine, is full with multicoloured fishing vessels. In the resort centre, you’ll find a good choice of cafés, bars and nightlife alongside shops and supermarkets. | ||
| Bidnija | 1 |
25 mins
|
| The idyllic hamlet of Bidnija is located between two sweeping valleys at the heart of Maltese countryside – perfect for exploring the more rural side of the island. A pretty chapel is located in the village centre, dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth. | ||
| Manikata | 1 |
45 mins
|
| Manikata is an ideal location for those looking for the peace and tranquillity of a typically Maltese village, whilst being close to a beautiful sandy beach - in this case, the famous ‘Golden Bay’. Being close to the sea, the village offers some delicious locally caught fish, as well as the produce of local farmers. The village is also home to the uniquely styled church of St Josephs, which is well worth a visit. | ||
| St Julians | 1 |
30 mins
|
| Once a small fishing port, this is now one of Malta’s major resorts, with lively nightlife including a casino in the magnificent Villa Dragonara on St George’s Point. It’s great to dine out in the evening at one of the many open air restaurants overlooking Spinola Bay with its brightly coloured fishing boats bobbing about in the harbour. | ||
