Families taking trips to villas in Mallorca will have the chance to visit a historic landmark once more in the coming months.
Redevelopment work has allowed Santueri Castle, in the south of the popular Spanish island, to once again open its doors to the public.
According to See Mallorca, the fortress had been closed for more than a decade after it fell into disrepair.
The timescale to reopening the castle was so long as a result of a lack of investment by the Vidal family, the building's owners.
However, to deter an attempt from the Council of Mallorca to claim ownership of the fortress, the family has now begun carrying out repairs.
Once complete, tourists staying in Mallorca villas will be guided around the Santueri Castle, where they can see all of the attraction's treats and look out at awe-inspiring scenic views.
Those taking holidays to the Spanish island in the near future may also want to note that improvements are to be made to Palma Airport, in order to enhance the facilities located inside the travel hub, See Mallorca also reported.
