Visit Mallorca villas to taste fine wine?

Holiday makers who take trips to villas in Mallorca may have the chance to sample some delicious wine during their stay this year.

The organisation which governs Binissalem's wine production has revealed that 2011 has produced an excellent harvest on the Spanish island, See Mallorca reports.

Between August 19th and October 18th, a total of 2,767 tonnes of grapes were collected from vines across Mallorca.

The quality of the fruit could allow for an array of lip-licking wine to be developed over the coming weeks, including the popular varieties of Manto Negro from juicy black grapes.

High temperatures in August coupled with a lack of rain helped to create high concentration of natural sugars and flavours in the produce.

Meanwhile, those seeking long-term stays in Mallorca may be interested to hear that property prices across the island are expected to rise in the near future, Gabriel Oliver, president of the Balearics Property Developers Association, told EuroWeeklyNews.com.
