Golfers may find there is no better holiday option for them than spending a week or two at a villa in Mallorca.
That is because such a venue would offer access to what one expert believes is one of the sport's "wonderlands".
David Brice, writing a piece for PGAtour.com, explains in addition to some of the world's top courses there is also a reliable supply of sunshine – even through the winter – that makes playing a joy.
"Golf on Mallorca is not only plentiful, it's also top quality and - making a good thing even better - the courses are conveniently located close together in just three clusters," he states.
Mr Brice goes on to recommend the Spanish island to those with a genuine love for the game, noting they will have no shortage of things to do.
People who decide it is too late to go away this winter could secure their Mallorca villa for this time next year, as Monarch recently put flights for the 2011-12 season on sale.
