Spot celebrities on a Mallorca holiday

A Mallorca holiday could be the ideal option for Britons looking to follow in the footsteps of the stars.

According to Reuters, the Spanish island is a popular hotspot for celebrities such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, who own property in Mallorca.

It also attracts pop stars and athletes around the world, making the destination "a no-brainer for spotting famous beachgoers", the news agency says.

Some of Mallorca's attractions include its beaches - particularly on the northern and eastern coasts - as well as the chance to take a Vespa tour through the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, which has peaks soaring to 1,400 metres above sea level.

Other things to do on Mallorca villa holidays include taking in the cultural sights of towns such as Deia, Pollenca and Valldemossa and visiting the Cabrera Marine and Terrestrial Nature Reserve, which is a group of islands and islets located about an hour away from Mallorca by boat.
