Grab yourself a late deal >Spanish villa holiday: Marbella 'has best beaches'
Those seeking out villa holidays in Spain have been told of the most attractive destinations to visit.
According to new research by Oak Power Communication (OPC), Marbella has the best-rated beaches in the European country.
This is followed by Ibiza and Lanzarote, the study revealed, taking in the position of Spanish tourism brands from 600 journalists worldwide.
Furthermore, Andalucia was seen as setting the best 'brand image' for Spain, with a rating of 7.9 out of ten from journalists.
People taking Spanish villa holidays were told that Madrid followed behind in second, with a 7.3 rating, while Barcelona sits in third, recording a 7.1 score.
Maria Asenjo, of OPC, commented: "Journalists value Spain's purely Spanish spirit, strength and passion, as well as the enormous improvement in infrastructures and the quality of services in the past years."
Earlier this week, Brits were told of the appeal of the Spanish island of Mallorca, which offers a wonderful mix of "sun, sea and sand", according to a Travelbite.co.uk expert.
