See a Lou Reed art show during a Mallorca villa holiday

Art enthusiasts taking Mallorca villa holidays this month might be interested in arranging a trip to Palma to see a new exhibition in the city.

A display of work by Lou Reed, who is best known for work as a musician, was opened at the Es Baluard modern art museum on April 29th and will run until May 30th.

People who have the opportunity to visit the exhibition during a Mallorca villa break will be able to see 30 black and white photographs taken by Reed.

Presented under the title 'Romanticism', the pieces feature a range of landscapes and architectural motifs captured by the artist during his travels in Denmark, Scotland the US and other regions.

The display, which has previously been shown in New York and Washington, represents Reed's first major exhibition in Europe.

Holiday makers staying in Mallorca villas will find the Es Baluard complex at Plaza Porta de Santa Catalina in Palma.

The museum is home to works by a number of acclaimed modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso, Paul Cezanne, Rene Magritte and Joan Miro.
