Rent a Mallorca villa and glam it up in Palma

Mallorca holidays are a firm favourite among many British families, but many celebrities love the island too.

To live the celebrity lifestyle, those renting Mallorca villas could spend a day in the capital Palma, where they could just bump into a famous face.

According to OK! magazine, the city, with its "yacht-filled" marina and its "fairytale" castle, offers plenty of celeb-spotting opportunities.

Actors Pierce Brosnan and Tom Hanks have been known to hang out in Palma's swanky bars, while Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones often spend time on the island.

Some celebrities even have their own Mallorca villas, including supermodel Claudia Schiffer and tennis ace Boris Becker, while Tom Cruise once arrived in Palma on his private yacht.

Even if holiday makers aren't lucky enough to spot a superstar, they can still enjoy a glamorous lifestyle in the city.

With plenty of designer shops along the tree-lined Passeig d'es Born, a wide selection of trendy bars and a variety of top restaurants serving tasty tapas and local dishes, tourists can slip on their shades and pretend they've made the A list.

Those renting Mallorca villas in Cala d'or will be just an hour's drive away from Palma, although attracts its own fashionable yachting crowd who enjoy its stylish eateries and its laidback atmosphere.
