Release the ducks on a Mallorca holiday
On August 15th each year, the island hosts the annual releasing of the ducks, notes events guide What's On When.
The festivities commences at noon, when boats drop anchor to release some 350 ducks into the sea.
Locals - and the odd intrepid tourist - then face the task of grabbing as many of the yellow birds as possible.
Animal lovers need not be concerned - the activity used to feature real ducks but now sticks to the rubber variety, meaning that everyone can have a quacking good time.
"The event, of unknown origin, attracts more than 3000 spectators," reveals the online publication.
Mallorca holiday makers looking for a more traditional time may wish to take a leaf out of Apprentice star Claire Young's book.
